Capital Bank Expanding Into Holly Springs

Bank also plans new branch locations in West Cary and Wake Forest

Raleigh — Capital Bank broke ground in Holly Springs for the opening of its 33rd branch location statewide and 17th Triangle-area location. The groundbreaking ceremony took place Thurs., Jan. 8 at the site of the bank’s new location, 5070 Kentworth Dr. (at the intersection of Main Street and State Highway 55 Bypass) in Holly Springs. Bank officials were joined by representatives from the town of Holly Springs, the Chamber of Commerce and the North Carolina Banking Association.

Capital Bank also plans to open branches in 2009 in West Cary and at Heritage Wake Forest. The new locations will join the existing branches in these communities including the Capital Bank on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary and Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest.

“The expansion of Capital Bank into Holly Springs is an important milestone for the bank as we continue offer our products and services to the growing Wake County population,” said B. Grant Yarber, president and CEO of Capital Bank. “We look forward to becoming a part of the vibrant community in Holly Springs.”

The new branch is scheduled to open in late summer of 2009. Bob Myers, senior vice president for Capital Bank, serves as the Holly Springs city executive.
